I have just finished a book called "Born to Run" by Michael Morpurgo. The book was excellent, but some people might find it was quite sad and scary in parts. I would not recommend Born to Run for children under the age of 5 because it has a lot of large and difficult words.
The storyline of Born to Run is about a Greyhound who had more than one owner and more than one name. The dog's first owner, Patrick, is an 8 year old boy who called him Best Mate and rescued him from drowning in a canal. His next owner, who called him Brighteyes, was called Becky. She saved Brighteyes from being put down because he had an injury. Last but not least is Joe, who called him Paddywack. joe took him in when Becky and her mother moved house and the rest I will leave for you to read yourself.
I would give Born to Run 5 out of 5 stars! It is 140 pages long and a great read.

I think I will have to read this book, it sounds great. I think I might need some tissues though, if it's a sad ending!
